Youngsters - Go extreme this summer in Bolsover and North East Derbyshire

Youngsters from Bolsover and North East Derbyshire can go ‘extreme’ over the summer holidays with Safer Derbyshire’s free Extreme Wheels roadshow.

The roadshows give participants the chance to experience the ultimate action sports course with activities such as Mobile Skate Park, Laser Tag, Master Blaster, Body Zorbing, Climbing Wall, KMX and BMX Racing.

The Roadshow will be visiting the following venues in Bolsover:
Hornscroft Recreation Park, Bolsover − Every Monday from 22nd July to 2nd September (except Bank Holiday Monday) 6pm − 8pm
Council Offices, Clowne − Every Monday from 29th July to 2nd September (except Bank Holiday Monday) 2pm − 4pm
Pinxton Village Hall − Every Tuesday from 30th July to 3rd September 2pm − 4pm
Tibshelf Secondary School − Every Tuesday from 30th July to 3rd September 6pm − 8pm
Hodthorpe Recreation Ground – Every Wednesday from 24th July to 11th September 5pm − 7pm
Shirebrook Leisure Centre – Every Wednesday from 31st July to 4th September 6pm − 8pm
South Street Recreation Ground, South Normanton − 15th, 22nd and 29th August 2pm − 4pm
Vale Park Recreation Ground, Carr Vale – Every Saturday from 27th July to 31st August 6pm − 8pm

And in North East Derbyshire:
Grassmoor Community Centre – 14th, 21st and 29th August 1pm – 3pm
Pilsley Pear Tree Road Recreation -3rd, 17th and 31st August 2pm – 4pm
Grassmoor Barnes Park – Every Friday from 26th July to 30th August 2pm – 4pm
Killamarsh Leisure Centre – Every Friday from 19th July to 13th September 6pm – 8pm

There will also be one-off specific activity sessions at:
Palterton Playing fields − Climbing Wall − Monday 5th August 12pm − 2pm
Whaley Thorns Cricket Ground − Body Zorbing − Tuesday 6th August 12pm − 2pm
Scarcliffe Recreation Ground − Laser Quest − Monday 12th August 12pm − 2pm
Hillstown Community Centre − Mobile Skatepark − Tuesday 13th August 12pm − 2pm

The minimum age for anyone to take part is 7 years old, whilst under 9’s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Anyone taking part in the roadshows or activities must wear the appropriate safety gear at all times and have a parent consent form signed which is available below. The roadshow is organised by Bolsover District Council with funding from Bolsover Community Safety Partnership, Derbyshire Constabulary, Big Lottery Fund, Scarcliffe Parish Council, South Normanton Parish Council, Hodthorpe Residents Association, Derbyshire County Council and the Bolsover Healthy Neighbourhoods Team.
