New section added to the website - Trees of Morton

Posted on October 02 2012

In recognition that Morton has so many trees that were planted to commemorate different occasions, a new section has been added to the website.

Trees featured include:

  • Oak tree at the Centre of England
  • Horse Chestnut recognised as one of 50 great British trees for Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee
  • Lime tree planted in 1863 to commemorate the marriage of the Prince of Wales
  • Trees planted in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee
  • Trees to be planted in November 2012 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee
  • Yew Tree planted in 1911 to commemorate the Coronation of King George V

Are there any other trees we should feature on the website?
