Grants now available - update on grants awarded

As previously reported, the Council has £5,000 available to distribute during each financial year to individuals, groups and organisations operating within the parish.
We are encouraging applications. Please take this opportunity to start a new activity or event or to improve the facilities within our village. The application process is simple.
In the first few weeks since the grants scheme was launched, grants have been awarded to:
- Take My Hand I’ll Teach You to Dance – to establish a new dance exercise group (£60)
- Morton Athletic FC – to supply and install goal posts on football pitch on Council land (£1,010) and a contribution towards football kit (£500) – to establish a new village football team
- Morton Events – to pay for the Queen’s 90th Birthday Party celebrations (£650)
- £1 Community Fit Club – to establish an exercise, nutrition and wellness club – contribution towards advertising and a sound system (£300)
