Entrance to New Park

Posted on July 27 2012

Many thanks to the Prince’s Trust volunteers who have made a massive improvement to the area each side of the entrance to New Street Playing Fields.

The volunteers drew up plans for the area, dug out the brambles, weeds and nettles, raised the funds for new bushes and planted each area.

Derbyshire County Councillor Barry Lewis and Chairman of Morton Parish Council Andrew Coates met with the volunteers at the end of the job to thank them for all their hard work. Tina Chipp, Morton resident, was also thanked for co-ordinating this work on behalf of our village and for helping ensure this was a successful project.
