Do you want to get involved in shaping the future of policing in Derbyshire?

Do you want the opportunity to talk with senior officers and police authority members?

Derbyshire Police Authority and Derbyshire Constabulary are holding ‘Your Police, Your Say’ events across the county during November.

At the events they will be discussing the proposed changes to the shape of local policing across the county, which includes their current performance, how they allocate their resources and budget, the launch of the national 101 non-emergency number and the role of the proposed Police and Crime Commissioners.

The evening will include an opportunity for the public to put their questions to either the Chief Constable or one of the Chief Officers of the Constabulary and the Chair or Vice Chair of Derbyshire Police Authority. For those unable to attend in person, they will also be providing online opportunities for the public to ask questions.

The Police would welcome the public’s input at these events to assist them in gauging your opinions on a range of topics including local performance in policing and the issues that are of most importance to the public in these challenging times.

The dates and local venues are as follows:
• 10th November: Council Chamber, Town Hall, Derby Road, Long Eaton, NG10 1HU
• 14th November: The Winding Wheel, Hollywell St, Chesterfield, S41 7SA.
• 17th November: Council Offices, Sherwood Lodge, Oxcroft Lane, Bolsover, S44 6NF
• 28th November: Belper Football Club, Christchurch Meadow, Bridge Street, Belper, DE56 1BA
• 29th November: Dronfield Civic Centre, Dronfield, S18 1PD

These events will take place from 7 – 9 p.m. Doors will open from 6.30 p.m.

Get involved online

At the Derby and Chesterfield events they will be holding a live online blog via the Derbyshire Constabulary website, so you can follow the conversation as it happens. It will also provide the opportunity for you to submit questions to be asked during the question and answer session.
