Posted on December 12 2013

Derbyshire County Council and Derby City Council, in partnership with the eight Derbyshire district/borough councils, have been reviewing the strategy for dealing with Derbyshire’s waste (the Derby and Derbyshire Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy 2006).

The Councils are now undertaking a public consultation to help find out what people think of the revised draft strategy, draft individual council waste action plans detailing plans for the next five years and a Strategic Environment Assessment draft environment report.

These documents can be viewed on the Council’s website. An online questionnaire can be completed. Anyone completing a questionnaire can enter a prize draw to win £50.

The Councils would welcome further comments on the strategy and documents either by emailing to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or by posting to Freepost DY76, Derbyshire County Council, Dealing with Waste, Derbyshire Business Centre, County Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3AG.

The consultation period will close on the 14 February 2014.
