Congratulations to The Corner Pin

Glidden Trade, one of the UK’s leading trade paint brands, has unveiled the winners of its hotly contested Paint and a Pint makeover competition. After battling it out against entrants from across the country, The Corner Pin in Morton was declared the winner of a £5,000 business boosting transformation.

Landlord, Steven Pyatt, put the pub forward after hearing about the competition in the Publicans Morning Advertiser magazine. “The Corner Pin is a traditional pub right at the heart of our community, but its been in need of a revamp for a while now. When I heard about Paint and a Pint, I thought it would be a great opportunity to reinvigorate our business and give it a new lease of life” said Steven.

The competition judges selected The Corner Pin for the makeover based on the dedication and community spirit of its owner and the creativity of its poetic entry:

The punters would pass us by,
Not going in there, they’d cry,
We often feel inferior,
Because of our drab exterior,
But the future is grand,
With five in hand,
Our best features are no longer hidden,
And its all thanks to Glidden

Also included in the prize is colour and paint advice from the experts at Glidden Trade. The company will also contribute towards The Corner Pins re-opening party, so the owner can share the new look with his local community.

Congratulations to Steven and Anita at the Corner Pin for winning the competition for this £5,000 makeover.
