The police have informed us of an increase in theft from motor vehicles. High value items have been stolen such as SatNav’s, phones, mobiles and laptops. Most of the incidents occurred overnight from vehicles that had been left unlocked with valuables on display.
The burgundy bins, branded under the ‘Kerb It Recycle It’ logo, arrived in Morton on 16th June. The first collection for the new bin is on Friday 1st July 2011.

At the Parish Council elections on 5 May, seven of the existing councillors were re-elected and we welcome Martyn Morris as a new councillor.
The Parish Council wish to thank the two councillors who did not stand for re-election, Margaret Hawkins and Derek Cotterill. Both gave many years of service to the parish and we particularly wish to thank Margaret for what was achieved during the years when she was Chair of the Parish Council.
