Residents are advised to be vigilant following the theft of Derbyshire County Council work wear & an identification badge under the name of Richard West. This happened in the Alfreton area, overnight between Wednesday 18th & Thursday 19th July.
Trading Standards are warning Derbyshire residents to be aware of unsolicited telephone calls from businesses claiming to offer “free” burglar alarms, following a number of reports that such businesses are targeting elderly and vulnerable consumers in the county.

There is a scam email in circulation which claims to be from the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) asking you to verify your driving licence details via an online link – it’s a scam. DVLA has not sent any such email.
